On March 30th,
1972, a small group of men met
to discuss the formation of an
evangelical church in the
Charlottetown area.
Subsequently, services were
started on Sunday, December 31,
1972. On September 14,
1973, representatives from
various Maritime churches of
like faith and practice met with
the church and officially
recognized it as a New Testament
Church known as Grace Fellowship
Baptist Church. In the
spring of 1974, the name of the
Church was officially shortened
to Grace Baptist Church.
The purpose
of our existence as a body is
the assembling of ourselves
together for the public worship
of God, the salvation of the
lost, the building up of
believers and the propagation of
the gospel set forth in God’s
Word.
Acts 2:41-42; 47
“Then they that
gladly received his
word were baptized:
and the same day
there were added
unto them about
three thousand
souls. And they
continued
steadfastly in the
apostles’ doctrine
and fellowship, and
in breaking of
bread, and in
prayers. raising
God, and having
favour with all the
people. And the Lord
added to the church
daily such as should
be saved.”
